Properties: An agent that improves cerebral circulation. Vincamine is an alkaloid isolated from periwinkle (Vinca minor L), dilates cerebral vessels, improves cerebral blood flow, in particular at the capillary level, improves oxygen supply to the brain, improves metabolic processes and reduces blood pressure within physiological limits.

Indications: Condition after subacute, transient or chronic cerebral hypoxia; localized forms of cerebral disorders with primary neurological symptoms – hemiplegia, aphasia, apraxia, agnosia, psychoautonomous disorders; psychosis caused by brain damage; hypertensive encephalopathy; vertebrobasilar insufficiency; embolism of the central retinal artery, acute retinopathy and impaired blood flow in the vessels of the retina; blood flow disorders in the vessels of the inner ear, Meniere’s disease, dizziness or tinnitus of cochleovestibular origin.

Dosage and administration: 30 mg 2 times a day; in severe conditions, especially at the beginning of treatment, you can take 30 mg 3 times a day.

Contraindications: Brain tumors, increased intracranial pressure, pregnancy. Precautionary measures: In the pathology of the cardiovascular system, vincamine can be used as an additional agent against the background of therapy with basic cardiological drugs, such as digoxin.
