⸻
⏳ What does PROLONGED ACTION (ID / Prolonged Release) mean
This is the most important feature of this drug.
Prolonged (extended) action means that the tablet does not work all at once, but gradually.
How does this happen:
• the tablet has a special coating and matrix that dissolves slowly;
• the active substance is released in small portions over 12–24 hours;
• the level of the drug in the blood remains stable.
Thanks to this:
✅ longer-lasting pain relief
✅ no sharp peaks in concentration
✅ fewer doses are required (often once a day)
✅ less stomach irritation than with fast-acting forms (but the risk is still there).
⸻
💊 How to usually take
• most often 1 tablet once a day
• swallow whole, do not chew or break (otherwise the prolonged action will disappear)
• take after meals, with water.
⸻
⚠️ Important (especially for the stomach and liver)
Since you have a sensitivity of the stomach and liver, please note:
• take only after meals
• do not combine with alcohol
• do not combine with other NSAIDs (ibuprofen, ketorol, nimesulide)
• preferably together with gastroprotection (on the recommendation of a doctor)
• do not use for a long time without the supervision of a doctor.
