Description

Compound: Each tablet contains:

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg
• Chlorphenamine maleate 2 mg.

Auxiliary components: Starch, povidone, sodium sorbitol, sodium lauryl sulfate, microcrystalline cellulose, talc.

Properties: A combined drug that has antipyretic, analgesic, alpha-adrenostimulating, vasoconstrictor and antihistamine effects, eliminates the symptoms of a cold.

Paracetamol is a non-narcotic analgesic; blocks COX, mainly in the central nervous system, affecting the centers of pain and thermoregulation; has analgesic and antipyretic effect.

Phenylephrine is an alpha-agonist with a moderate vasoconstrictive effect.

Chlorphenamine is an H1-histamine receptor blocker. Narrows the vessels of the nose, eliminates swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses; reduces exudative manifestations, suppresses the symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

Indications: Symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory infections, acute respiratory viral infections (including influenza), accompanied by fever, pain, rhinorrhea.

Dosage and administration: Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1-2 tablets every 6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets. The course of treatment is not longer than 7 days.

Contraindications: Diabetes mellitus (severe); simultaneous use of tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, beta-blockers; pregnancy; lactation period; children’s age up to 12 years; hypersensitivity to the components of the combination. Carefully: Pheochromocytoma, diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma, COPD, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, blood diseases, congenital hyperbilirubinemia (Gilbert’s syndrome, Dubin-Johnson syndrome, Rotor’s syndrome), liver and / or kidney failure, angle-closure glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia.

Precautionary measures: During the period of treatment, sleeping pills and anxiolytic drugs (tranquilizers) should not be taken. Do not take with other medicines containing paracetamol. If the symptoms of the disease do not go away within 5 days, you should consult a doctor. During the period of treatment, it is necessary to refrain from the use of ethanol (possibly the development of a hepatotoxic effect).

Side effects: Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema. From the side of the central nervous system: dizziness, sleep disturbance, irritability. From the side of the cardiovascular system: increased blood pressure, tachycardia. From the digestive system: dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, hepatotoxic effect. On the part of the organ of vision: mydriasis, paresis of accommodation, increased intraocular pressure. From the hemopoietic system: anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia, methemoglobinemia, pancytopenia. From the urinary system: renal colic, glucosuria, inerstitial nephritis, papillary necrosis. From the respiratory system: bronchial obstruction.
