Alpha Lipoic Acid 600 mg

Excipients:

microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, purified talc, croscarmellose sodium, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate.

Properties:

Thioctic acid is a biological substance that acts as a cofactor in the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, the alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex, and the amino acid hydrogenase complex. A decrease in the level of thioctic acid was found in patients with liver cirrhosis, diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis and polyneuritis. In the process of metabolism, thioctic acid can pass from the oxidized form (with a disulfide bridge in the molecule) to the reduced hydroform with two free sulfide groups. Both forms have a strong antitoxin effect. They protect the cell from free radicals formed as a result of intermediate metabolites or as a result of the degradation of exogenous molecules and heavy metals. Dihydrolipoic acid also scavenges superoxide and hydroxyl radicals and prevents lipid peroxidation. Thioctic acid delays the onset of neuropathy caused by motor hexacarbon, and dihydrolipoate protects neurons from ischemic damage by inhibiting the accumulation of oxygen free radicals in brain tissues.

Indications:

Diabetic polyneuropathy, neuritis, polyneuritis, optic neuritis and encephalopathy.

Mode of application:

Adults take 1 tablet daily, preferably with food or as directed by your doctor.
Side effects:

May cause skin rash, headache, abdominal pain, toothache, dizziness, vomiting, blurred vision

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to thioctic acid.
